About Us
The Manchester-By-the-Sea Fishing Tournament, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, is a community-focused organization for both experienced and novice anglers of all ages to hone their fishing skills, learn about protecting community’s natural resources, enjoy some fun prizes and earn some bragging rights! Coming out of a 9-year retirement in 2020, the catch and release tournament continues to grow each year. Last year we drew 140 participants up from 123 participants in 2022, 111 in 2021 and 93 in 2020; we hope to break the 150 threshold this year. The tournament aims to encourage friends and family to get out on the water together, fish, laugh, make memories and most importantly enjoy our unique access to the ocean. The final winners are announced at the casual, family-friendly awards ceremony on Sunday afternoon at the Chowder House.
